How do you want to open this type of file (.jnlp)?

**This article pertains only to launching .jnlp files**

Upon attempting to launch the designer or client, you are asked to associate a program with .jnlp file.

The program you want to launch the jnlp file with is Java(TM) Web Start Launcher.

If this is not one of the options, you may need to browse for it. Click on "More options". Click on "Look for another app on this PC"

Find the Java Web Start Program in the Java bin. It will show up as javaws.exe

If this does not show up as an option for you, double-check that you have a Java version with the correct bit architecture installed (64-bit Java for 64 bit Ignition or 32-bit Java for 32-bit Ignition).
