Any purchase of Ignition Cloud Edition comes with support. However, before any support tickets are opened from the IA Help Center regarding Cloud Edition, you will need to first link your selected cloud service account with your Inductive Automation (IA) account.
It is important that these steps are completed before opening a ticket with support regarding Cloud Edition issues since a support admin will first check the status of your account before assigning you to the support queue for a response. If your account is missing this activation confirmation, you will be prompted to activate your account.
Account linking is possible through the use of the unique account ID pertaining to your selected cloud service. Valid cloud service account IDs will either be a 12-digit AWS Account ID for AWS users or the 32-digit Azure Subscription ID for Microsoft Azure users. Either ID can be found on the Cloud Edition Status Overview page.
The following steps assume you already have an existing IA account that will be used to contact support. If not, please sign up here. Once you have an IA account and are signed in, you can start the process of linking your account:
- On your CE Instance’s Ignition Gateway web page, navigate to Status>Overview.
- On the right-hand side of the Overview page, look for your cloud service account ID field under the Environment section.
